The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin has issued the final ruling regarding the water rates for the Village of Blanchardville. The Village must implement these rates within 90 days of the final decision. The Public Works Committee is recommending to the Village Board to implement the rates effective 08/01/2023

The Village offers ACH payment free of charge to utility users. On the due date, the amount due will automatically be withdrawn from the account holders bank account. The account holders still receive a monthly bill with the amount that will be withdrawn. To sign up download this ACH Authorization Formand return it to Village Hall with a voided check.

Garbage and Recycling collection every Friday. Please have items out for collection by 7:00 a.m. Garbage containers should have a maximum size of 35 gallons and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Beginning in 2019, residents will have a limit of 4 – 35 gallon containers. Any household with more than the maximum amount may pick up a special $1.00 sticker per extra 35 gallon container at Village Hall.
PLEASE NOTE: Collection schedules change during holiday weeks:
New Year’s Day collection will be Saturday, January 6
Memorial Day collection will be on Saturday, June 1st
4th of July collection will be on Saturday, July 6th
Labor Day collection will be on Saturday, September 7th
Thanksgiving collection will be on Saturday, November 30th
Christmas collection will be on Saturday, December 38th
Items that are not considered solid waste or recyclable for weekly collection are: leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, brush, wood, cement, construction and remodeling materials, fencing, major appliances, tires, waste oils, lead acid batteries, wet paint, furniture and electronics (TV’s, computer components, fax machines, DVD players, VCR’s and DVR’s)

Yard Waste
Yard Waste may be disposed of at the Village Yard Waste Site on Old Q Road seasonally April – November. Opening & closing dates depend on the weather. For large amounts, you load and we haul in our truck for $25/load. Village will pick up brush on Tuesdays as time allows, crew does NOT pick up grass clippings and yard waste.
