about bcpi
Mission:
To encourage, organize, foster, and support activities that promote economic development, business development, tourism and quality of life improvements for the Village of Blanchardville, Wisconsin and surrounding areas.
BCPI is a volunteer charitable organization dedicated to making the great little village of Blanchardville even better. Traditionally, BCPI sponsors an impressive annual car show on the second Sunday in July, a Father’s Day Chicken BBQ community event, music in the park during the summer, a family block party, Christmas on Main Street, and numerous other community events. We assisted the village in acquiring Ryan Park and currently are installing an 18 hole disc golf course.
BCPI also continues its efforts to revitalize the traditional commercial district. The group was formed in 1997 to address the increasing disappearance of downtown merchants which rendered the community vulnerable to deterioration and ultimately, the loss of structures and sites important to its historic character. BCPI seeks to reverse this trend by undertaking educational and support activities designed to preserve its traditional downtown.
